How are my Google Analytics Goals performing?
Understanding the impact of the Goals you have set up in Google Analytics will help you understand how your business is performing at large. Common goal set ups include Purchases, Signups, Leads and Initiate Checkout. Each of these goals shows when a user has completed a specific action on the Google Analytics platform, but not knowing how these goals can be tracked over time is where you can get tripped up.
Once a user has completed a goal, the next step is to understand how successful that action is when looking at the analytics report. GA Insights shows you the total number of users who have completed that action and the percentage of those users who are returning to your website in our preset template.
But even if you don’t need a report on the performance of your specific goals, an alert is automatically set up to let you know when an anomaly occurs in one of your goals. An example of this would a spike in signups from a certain source like direct or referral traffic.
